Jimmy Howard has played his way out of being the everyday starter. Take a look at his stats since October, sorry Petr should be getting every other game and he certainly shouldn't be getting sat after a shutout.

Is Petr's bad absolutely, but both guys should get their turn at this point. Howard's play isn't dictating his unquestioned #1 status.

Howard's been terrible since his injury like every year. We need both him and Mrazek gone. How many times has Howard gotten injured, plays good til then, and never regains his form for the remainder of the season.

What made no sense to me was Howard starting every game, virtually, in December.

Even if he's your starter, he's not Brodeur at 27 years old and able to play 70 games.

I know his teams play with structure, but this is why I would have a hard time watching either Hitch or Tippett coach my team. They are where the joy of watching hockey goes to die.
