From last in the Metro to last, YES!!

Edit: second to last, YES!!

That was probably me. Gotta get my glass licks in after a win.

We may not have moved much in the standings but it’s one weekend. That’s not really what I meant anyway.

This was a really positive couple games to show the guys they can hang with some of the better teams in the league. Maybe they will start to believe. Hopefully Aho will get going now, too.

Darling was great tonight, that's the kind of game we need from him. Canes came out pretty flat to start, he weathered the storm and momentum started to shift. He lets one in to start and it would have been a completely different game. Same thing when they got sloppy with 10 minutes left, he didn't let Dallas close the gap.

What’s nice about this win is that it wasn’t some whuppin’ that you’d expect to end up 5-1. The score is a reflection of good goaltending, and players doing all those slump-busting things like screening the goalie and shooting the puck off opponents. Could’ve easily been a similar game to Saturday (get up 3-1 and then crumble) but they kept pressing and blew it open.

If we win vs Islanders we are @ Wild Card spot?

It's all in good fun. I'm as happy as anyone we have a chance to climb again.

It's important for this team to remember the keep pressing part. Every time we try to play a prevent style, we blow the lead. Every goddamn time. When we keep pressing, we blow games open. We have defensive skill- we can continue to attack without conceding goals. And our defense plays best when the play is moving, not when the other team has the puck and we're trying to respond.
