Curving blades?

So I want to curve a blade myself, do I have to use a blowtorch? Or is there another option? Thanks.

If it's a wood blade..wouldn't try composite. Heat it evenly, heat gun is probably the best. Might scorch your blade too much if u use a blowtorch. There's also a blade curving tool, sorta like a vice, and I believe you stick the vice on it and heat in the oven. Not positive though. I'll see if I can find it.

I did this the other day with a Synthesis Forsberg blade. I normally use an Iginla so I had to make some changes to it. I used a heat gun to heat up the blade and then stuck it in a vice and then pushed the shaft in order to bend the blade. The fiberglass started becoming unattached from the wood in some spots but other than that it worked out pretty nicely.

I've done this before with a Fury Diamondback one-piece stick which so far hasn't had any problems, and with a Sher-Wood composite/wood hybrid type of blade which broke after about three or four uses. I think I cracked it when I was curving it, though.

You can also place it in boiling water. As previously mentioned, never try to curve a composite stick, it will significantly shorten its life.
