Can anyone shed some light on who owned what in the 50's and how this played out trades wise and rights wise? All seems pretty garage-league to me from what I've heard.

Can anyone list the ownership of the Original 6 franchises from inception?

The NHL was referred to as the "Norris House League" because the Norris family owned controlled or had an interest in the four US franchises in the 1950's.
