It's been a few hours since they all have had their 3rd season in the books so it's history now right?

Where would you rank these four players after their first three seasons (disregarding the age difference).

I would rank them this way.

After their rookie years:

OV
Crosby
McDavid (played enough games to show his stuff)
Malkin

After their 2nd seasons (combining their 2nd and their rookie seasons) the rankings changed to:

Crosby
OV/McDavid
Malkin

After their 3rd seasons:

All have cases for #1.

Ovechkin has the best single RS and a solid playoff performance albeit very short.

Crosby has the 2nd best single RS, the 2nd most consistent RS resume other than McDavid, and a playoff scoring title.

Malkin has an Art Ross, a 2nd place, and arguably the best playoff performance of the last 20 years.

McDavid has two Art Rosses but a much weaker playoff resume than Malkin and Crosby and a weaker debut than OV.

OV had

1st team all-star & Pearson trophy runner-up in his rookie season + arguably the greatest goal in NHL history (certainly top 5)
1st team all-star
1st team all-star + Hart + Rocket Richard + Pearson + first 60-goal season since Mario and Jagr in 1996 + first 40-even-strength-goal season this century + most goals ever in NHL history by a left winger + signed the richest contract extension in NHL history, $124 million

In case you forgot how DEVESTATING Ovechkin was in his 3rd season:

No idea. Flip a coin? It depends what people like more.

Can honestly make a case for either of the 4 in any order.
