Good for Sid! And good for hockey! I hope his marketing campaign is as successful as hell! It can only help hockey to have a young player out in the media. He's well-spoken and comes across as a genuinely nice kid.

Exactly! What a great way for Reebok to enter the hockey arena. I would have bought thurr product regardless of this endorsement just because I always wanna try out new equipment.

Likely nowhere near what Labron's endorsements were worth at that age! ;)

Finally a ray of light this year!!! Reebok has lost a lot of ground to Nike over the past 10 years. Hopefully they will market the hell out of the Kid in an attempt to get their name out there in the hockey world.

And their new equipment lineup does sound interesting doesn't it.

And personally, I think the NHL needs another superstar to pit up against the NBA. Just like the old days of The Great One vs. Air Jordan

Sid the Kid vs. King James. sound good?

I was wondering why I saw Henrik Sedin in their new commercial with Amonte, Modano, and Pronger...

Haven't seen the commercial yet. Could you describe it?

With the way this thread is heading, this might belong in the business section.

Edit: already a thread there

Probably not but apparently it out does any endorsement deal ever for a hockey
player including the best deals signed by Gretzky and Lemieux. However comparing
hockey to the other major sports just doesn't work when it comes to endorsments.
Without the TV audience of the other sports hockey doesn't have the broad
exposure to enable the players to earn the really huge bucks in endorsements.
