The US has CHL players on the preliminary WJC squad, like Logan Brown, Max Jones, and Kailer Yamamoto. All the invited Dmen are college players though.

Sorry the World Juniors is truly a Canadian tradition. I forgot that Boxing Day isn't as well known south of the 49th parallel. On the 26th you either turn on the Juniors or go shopping. I choose Juniors.

Looks like Steenbergen might be starting the tournament as the 13th forward. Should have opportunities to move up if he plays well when he gets a chance. The player that starts as the 13th often doesn't finish there.
