Can a 23 year old D man improve? Well there's a f***ing pickle if i ever saw one. He hasn't had a proper summer training for years. The kid went trough a lot and now he is coming back. He will be better than he was in his rookie season.

First off he put up 51 points, not 55. Second, you are mixing seasons and Schultz is not a 51 points player outside of the top pairing which you insinuates.
Try to say positive things about a player and all you get is an argument . Maatta will get at least 40 pts this season

He's looked really, really good. It's almost like he was being hampered by injuries the past few years and didn't actually stink.

Looking much better after an abysmal start to the season. Good luck to the kid, keep it going!

He didn't have an abysmal start to the season, he had an excellent training camp and start to the season. He had one bad game in which every player on the team looked awful from top to bottom and they gave up 10 goals.

Olli Maatta is consistently a plus player. He's +53 in 228 regular season games, +15 in 56 playoff games. He's already 3rd all time in +/- for Pens d-men behind Larry Murphy and Ulf Samuelsson. Even with the 10-1 blowout he's already back to even.
