CAREER PRIME
Is a loosely defined statistical concept that tends to look at grouped, numerically attractive seasons against other seasons during a players career.

CONTRIBUTING SEASONS
I a way of looking at a player's complete career, reflecting how quickly he adapts and contributes throughout his NHL career as a young player, during his prime or as a fading veteran. The concept is the same whether the player is a member of a weak team or a championship team.Maybe be summed-up with the phrase "making a difference".

Examples of some players who were difference makers throughout their careers would be Red Kelly, Terry Sawchuk, Bryan Trottier, Jacques Plante, Henri Richard, to name but a few.
