Florida fans seem to be quite upset with Pysyk's play last year (including one guy I remember on here who wanted him gone for a 7th). Pens fans feel the same way about Sheary, who went from 53 points to 30 points last season.
Both players have very solid analytics - Sheary produced like a second-liner even in a down year at even strength, even when often playing against top opposition. Pysyk similarly had second pair results while failing the eye test according to many Panthers fans.
If the Panthers strike out on Kovalchuk or any of their other similar targets I wonder whether there's a deal to be made here. Sheary would fit quite well with Trocheck I think and provide some much needed scoring punch and speed to the Panthers' left side, while Pysyk would fill the Pen's biggest offseason need.
What do the Pens need to add here to get it done?
