Congratulations to both cities for a successful start to your ECHL season. Both cities had sellout nights to start the season. How did Worcester fans enjoy their first look at the ECHL level of play? Adirondack had a respectable 4000+ for their opener. Will Worcester bolster support in Manchester, and really help set the path for expansion into state of Maine.... Time will tell.

What was wrong with the arena?

Cellular service was non-existent most of the night, which is a common issue when the DCU is a packed house. The Wi-Fi upgrade is currently going on, which made that unavailable for even the media people (and caused issues with both radio broadcasts...Worcester and Manchester ended up doing a joint broadcast that went out to each station).

There were some other hiccups mostly because of there not being games there for a couple seasons, but nearly all I've heard about have already been corrected or will be corrected in the next couple weeks.

The biggest issue is the concourse isn't wide enough for that many people to easily move around. That's going to take a major renovation to be fixed, but is on the drawing board.
