is merely a concept
It's about time and couldn't go to a better broadcaster. Back when bob and nick were the broadcast team you knew they would both be HOFers one day. Nick and Bob were a great team working together back in the day and then when nick became the radio voice of the kings he became one of the best in the game. We have been truly lucky to have two of the very best broadcasters in hockey to call our games. WAY TO BE NICK!!!

BURNSIDE is the PHWA President? Hahahahahahahahahahahah

Well deserved for both gentlemen for both the duration and quality of what they do. Consummate professionals that have the respect of everyone in the field. Glad Nick gets it too because we're spoiled to have Bob on TV and Nick on the radio, so sometimes Nick gets overlooked by those outside!

Whenever the time comes for Bob to step down, Nick Nickson will be his eventual successor.

We're fortunate to have both Bob and Nick as play-by-play guys for so many years. A well deserved and long overdue award for one of the best voices in sports broadcasting.

Not surprised at all. Nick does wonderful work on the radio and he's the clear successor to Bob when he eventually retires.
