I looked at a few available draft services (McKeens, Redline, TSN, and ISS) and came up with this top 15:

1) Sidney Crosby (ranked 1,1,1,1)
2) Jack Johnson (ranked 2,5,2,4)
3) Benoit Pouilot (ranked 7,3,3,2)
4) Gilbert Brule (ranked 4,2,6,3)
5) Anze Kopitar (ranked 3,6,5,6)
6) Bobby Ryan (ranked 5,8,4,5)
7) Jack Skille (ranked 12,4,9,?)
8) Ryan O'Marra (ranked 11,11,10,7)
9) Carey Price (ranked 13,10,7,?)
10) Marek Zagrapan (ranked 9,12,12,10)
11) Alex Bourret (ranked 6,13,15,8)
12) Marc Staal (ranked 15,?,8,9)
13) Martin Hanzal (ranked 14,?,13,?)
14) Guillaume Latendresse (ranked ?,7,21,?)
15) Tuuka Rask (ranked 8,14,23,?)

The ? indicates the player in question was placed in a position that I couldn't view because I wasn't authorized to view the additional content. I'm not sure how "scientific" this is, but it looks about right to me.

I would give something like this a high priority. One of the Caps best choices was Eric Fehr, who was on nobody's board except ours. Still, it's a good thing to consider the composite opinion.

I'm sure Fehr was on everyone's board. The Oilers had him pretty much even with Parise, Getzlaf, and Pouliot. They decided to take Pouliot, but Fehr was up there.

i did something similar (with top 10's), but included rankings from the Sports Forcecaster, THN, and Young Guns as well ...

six players appeared in everyone's top 10:

Crosby (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1)
Johnson (5, 2, 4, 3, 3, 2, 2)
Brule (2, 4, 3, 2, 4, 3, 6)
Pouliot (3, 7, 2, 5, 2, 6, 3)
Kopitar (6, 3, 6, 4, 6, 4, 5)
Ryan (8, 5, 5, 6, 5, 5, 4)

... seems like a kind of consensus ...
