Obviously he's going to only say positive things, but the Kings seem to be thrilled with Lintuniemi. To me, this quote from their co-head amateur scout Mark Yannetti says it all.

"When we talk about guys you want a little later, guys you want to come out of the draft with, he was one. "

Full quotes below. Actually a pretty interesting read, as they say he "hits like a truck", when others on here call him not very physical. Was he early? Yeah, probably. But the kid can be molded into a damn good player, as he has a lot of tools.

Overall, I do like your lists and still don't get how Tkachev wasn't drafted at all. Or Baillie.

Blake, Yannetti talk trading Vey and on 2nd round picks

Interesting that several players who you've listed as ones that should have been drafted lower were drafted by teams with top scouting staffs in the NHL.

Just saying that this is way too early for this thread.

Yeah, too early for this thread - and silly thing to look at anyway as it also depends on what teams were looking for and what gambles they were willing to take.

But that said, you forgot Sebastian Aho among undrafted.

Point and Watson dropped on size - always tricky to take into consideration. Same with a fair few of those you list as undrafted (Aho also wasn't drafted for this reason).

Similarly, I can understand Letunov - a 6'2 guy with good skills and upside but weigh like 150 pounds. 2-3 seasons and 30-50 pounds gained and he could be a monster. Worth a gamble.

Kase and Holmstrom I can also buy - upside is there, but they are very raw with deficiencies in their game. It comes down to if you think they can be overcome and if you are willing to wait for it. No issue with them dropping due to this.
