All you guys who are signing up need to post on your respective teams boards that you will be the lead on this and ask other posters for their input. It is also your responsability to get your teams list to me by June 12th. This is not a normal mock where you are working alone.

If your board doesn't support you atleast you can make a list for your Oilers. Good try anyway insider.

I'm trying, but not getting favorably replys from all boards.

I would say try and start a joint effort but if no one wants to help, then we can have some posters make a prospect list by themselves for specific teams.

example is, if no NYR fan wants to particapate, then we can let a Chicago fan make a list for the NYR and so on.

I thought I'd have a list by tonight, but I won't. It'll have to wait until tomorrow night - but suffice it to say Erik Johnson is #1 on my list.

Supposedly I was the last one to send in on this and my list went in around 5:30 ... so we should see results before too long.

Just Wondering

I'm new on here, just stumbled across the site and decided to ask a few questions.
I understand that this is just a mock, however how do you come by your later round picks. I mean what info do you use to base your selections on. Many players may have been seen, but not all, and selecting " a diamond in the rough" would be impossible unless you truely knew each and ecery player. Forgive my rant, lots of fun however.

Some people have pretty decent scouting notes from here and there, and some may have seen players who aren't prominently mentioned. Just like the NHL scouts, everyone here has different ideas of what makes a good NHL player, what will allow a player to make the NHL (or keep him out of it), ... it's finding something that suggests that player may go on to do something once drafted and hoping you're right.

If that fails, there's always "take the highest ranked guy left", "draw names out of a hat", "use the Ouija board" or "Well, that sounds like a cool name" to pick those final couple players.

Atlanta Thrashers, Buffalo Sabers, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Rangers, Florida Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Pengiuns, Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple leafs and Phoenix Coyotees were not represented by anyone even after a thread was posted on each teams board asking for their participation. Their picks were made by myself using the combined rankings top 100, after that I picked for each unrepresented team based on a loose knowledge of what their team needs were from the CSS final rankings.
