I think if we can get Zacha back in there and get some production from him, we can score just fine until Palmieri is back.

And when you get goaltending like we got tonight.

I thought it was a well played game, outside of the 1st period. We allowed 15 shots in the 3rd, but had 12 shots, so it wasn’t like we were outshot 15-5. The BJ’s also had a couple power plays, where they seemed to generate a significant amount of their 3rd period shots. I think they only had one real sustained shift of offensive pressure and zone time at even strength in the 3rd and it was the shift that led to the first penalty of the period. I think that was the first penalty of the period, the one Severson took.

Yeah that was solid by Butcher.

What was amazing by Nico was the patience. He had Butcher cutting first but was able to wait for the better option in Hall.

That is a high skill play. Very high skill.

Jimmy Hayes = Dancing Turd.

This is missing several:

Santini is Santa
Boyle is the flexed bicep -- "Boyle Strong"
Hall is the hospital building thing -- assuming they mean a Hall
Moore is the + symbol
Greene has been used before but I don't remember his. Same with Severson.

That could have ended up worse for Nico, I'm glad Hall let the ref hear it there. Gotta protect the kids

yeah thats fine, the ref didnt seem to mind that much. but he has, had, a reputation. maybe keep a lid on it until the whistle ad go have a conversation like he did. the screaming like a banshee thing always makes me do a facepalm tho. just a matter of opinion from my end.

How good has Cory been tonight? He kept it even when Columbus was the better team in the 1st and on a couple of these marathon shifts/PK in the 3rd before that Hischier goal. I feel like last year, he probably at least allows that goal to the glove side through that screen in the 1st period, or at least one of those point blank chances in the 1st. I really feel like the battleship would have been sunk in the 1st, with the Kinkaid that we've seen this year.
Correcting this post from me, surprised no one else did. That goal was from Bratt and not Hischier. I think I gave Hischier another phantom goal tonight too haha.

Hischier has the initial shot (I think?) on the Noesen goal, which I lazily let Steve’s call fool me into thinking that was a Hischier goal and not Noesen.

Glad to see Noesen get two points. He’s been playing well all year. If you want to play a shutdown guy and rest your good players more with a lead, he’s one of the guys that should be used. He might not score you a bunch, but he’ll play pretty good hockey, which isn’t standing around defending in the D-zone.

Actually, Bleed, Steve's call on Bratt's goal after he gave a great pass to Hall who fired it and then Bratt put in the rebound....was just HORRENDOUS.

I mean at least with "SHANNAHAN! ZAJAC!" he at least mentioned BOTH names. Here he only mentioned Nico and that's it.

What a clown we have for a PbP guy.

One thing I criticized last game is how after a weak first period we went back out and played terribly again like nothing happened in the locker room. Today was the opposite.

To be fair to Steve, #13 and #63 could be confused when they were both right there.

The Columbus guy thought it was Butcher who scored off that ridiculous feed from Nico, so it happens.

Eh I don’t mind Steve.

We could do a lot worse. Both our commentators are complete goofballs sometimes, but in a likeable way.

I’m certainly thankful that we don’t have a complete raging homer like Goldstein, who would find a zillion positives in a game like the Arizona one, if that was the Panthers who played in Arizona that night.

Ridiculous shooting percentage and his assists are not ones where he is creating. Good player, but not this good.
I remember he had a Brian Gibbons-like shooting percentage and an on-ice shooting percentage that was higher than everyone on our team.

I’ll agree with that. Looks like a good player, but not nearly this good.
