I'm so happy for him. He signed with Avs AHL team and stuck around instead of giving up and leaving to Europe. He had a PTO first and it didn't give him an NHL contract. Of course it is becxause of injuries but good for him.

Avs depth pretty much everywhere right now is atrocious, so this is not surprising. Drouin and Tatar combine for 0 goals in 23 games. Lehkonen now out. Guys like MacDermid, Tufte and Pavel having to play.

Don't really care if Kiviranta scores since none of the guys above are either, just need him to put in a defensively dependable 10 minutes per night and it will be a sizable upgrade to the bottom six.
