It's actually THE Chris Wagner. They signed him to a two-way contract on July 1, but then he ruptured his Achilles before camp started, and hasn't played yet.

Well he was just waived by them, so it isn't going well, wishes or not.

This is the equivalent to all those fringe players been waived during training camp and pre-season so they can be sent down to the AHL. They couldn't do it until now cause of injury. Him being waived is a good thing, means he's healthy enough to play. No team is claiming a guy coming off a torn achilles and putting them on their 23-man NHL roster.

I lost track of him after he left the Bruins. He did not have much left at the end in Providence. With the ruptured Achilles tendon added to his age, I think this is the end of his Nhl career. He was a good soldier in Boston, and got the most out of his talent. I wish him well. He did a small gig at the biggest sports radio station in Boston a couple years ago. He probably wants to work in TV or radio. May that go well for him.
