Kulbakov called up from ECHL Quad City



Good move. Matiss has been horrible lately. Was hoping that one of these two would challenge Korpi for CBJ’s backup. A little backup competition never hurts, but to be fair Korpi has looked much better as of late.

It's still very early for them to challenge for an NHL backup position. Shoot, they were both playing in the USHL just last year. That's a huge jump in competition levels. I figured Matiss would come back down to earth a little bit.. I'd love it if they could both shine in the AHL, but I'm not necessarily surprised.

But, what will they do with Kulbakov with Thiessens and Matiss? I know neither goalie for the Monster's is exactly playing well, but to be honest- is anybody playing well for the Monster's? Curious if there's a minor injury, or if they just want to give Kulbakov a game to see what he has to offer

Dalpe returns to lineup from bruised lung tonight, wearing an "A: for the first time this season.

Kivlenieks out with a minor injury, Kulbakov in goal

Koules goal reduces Rampage lead to 1, 2-1 San Antonio, 12:01 of first period

Koules first game back after being scratched both games last weekend
