I have a blog dedicated to what I call "Classic Media" In Cleveland/NE Ohio..Vintage TV/Radio. I also enjoy history that could relate to radio-tv in some way.
In October 2007, I posted on the History of Hockey in Cleveland..While I shared it here at Hockey's Future then, I only linked to my home page at the time, which was the Hockey Article. Since then, the blog has been updated..To find the Hockey article, one would have to search for it..Here is a link directly to the article:
Hockey Night In Cleveland
http://clevelandclassicmedia.blogspot.com/2007/10/its-hockey-night-in-cleveland.html
This corresponded to the Lake Erie Monsters' Opening night..
Another article, dealing with a radio-TV Charity Hockey Game sponsored by the Barons and TV Guide on November 18, 1964..at the Cleveland Barons-Springfield Indians Game at Cleveland Arena..

I find it interesting that so many media members then even knew somewhat how to play Hockey..Wouldnt be the case today..
Note: New England native.Ernie Anderson, then an announcer (Movie Host Ghoulardi) at WJW-TV 8 in Cleveland, was among the players here..He became the Voice of ABC (The Luhhhv Boat) and of many local TV stations around the country..
