Philadelphia Flyers captain Glaude Giroux left an Ottawa police station on Wednesday morning after being arrested the night before for an incident involving a police officer.
The Ottawa Sun first reported that Giroux was arrested for repeatedly grabbing a male police officer's buttocks on Tuesday night.
Giroux was released without any criminal charges.
"We are aware of the reports surrounding Claude Giroux," said Flyers GM Ron Hextall in a statement on Wednesday. "Until we have more information we will withhold making any further comment."
The two-time All-Star had 28 goals and 86 points for the Flyers last season.
