If it means I won't have to see his stupid State Farm ads again I'd be cool if he retired.

He will be in demand so he won't, but since Carmelo retired it'd be fitting if another overrated "superstar" went out in the same year.

Chris Paul is likely the most underrated player in NBA history. In fact, he's so underrated, I'm not sure he ever qualified as a "superstar"

16th all-time in PER, ahead of players like Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Steph Curry

6th all-time in OWS

9th all-time in WS

6th all-time in WS/48

6th all-time in BPM

6th all-time in VORP

3x playoff leader in PER & WS/48

2x playoff leader in OBPM & BPM

Carmelo Anthony

100th all-time in PER

59th all-time in OWS

72nd all-time in WS

Approx. 260th all-time in WS/48 (Basketball-Reference only lists the top 250)

187th all-time in BPM

78th all-time in VORP

Never lead the playoffs in any advanced category

To each their own but i disagree. NBA media loves him for reasons i don't understand. He's constantly referred to as "Point God". Point God of what exactly? Coming up short short over and over again in the playoffs?

Agreed and PER is seriously flawed. At one time Boban was #1 all time. I may sign Paul for $9.9M for one year as a backup PG, but any more is silly.

Well, let's see...

He's 16th all-time in playoff PER, ahead of Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain

He's 22nd all-time in playoff WS/48, ahead of Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell

He's 13th all-time in playoff BPM, ahead of Shaq, Abdul-Jabbar, Tim Duncan

With stats like those, he's among the top 20 playoff performers of all-time
