Choose Particpants For An Inter-Lockouts Polls Tournament

With the dead puck era tournament completed (with the exception of an elite eight tourney consisting of Sakic, Forsberg, Yzerman, Fedorov, Lindros, Bure, Selanne and Jagr that is to come), it's time to move on to the 2004-2013 era. Kariya was the winner of the 32 player DPE tournament; the runners-up were Sundin and Modano. Alfredsson went 12-1.

Choose your participants. The 16 players who receive the most votes will be included.

Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin etc are ineligible as they would dominate.

Thornton, Iginla, St. Louis, Datsyuk, Kovalchuk, Kane, Stamkos and Zetterberg will be placed an elite eight tournament.

Why can't it just be a best-on-best tournament? Why would you make the best players ineligible?

It would be a lot better to watch than a tournament made up of "all right" players.

I can do another one involving Crosby, Malkin, Ovie, maybe putting them up against great historical players.

What would be the point of doing polls like Crosby versus Toews or Ovechkin versus Corey Perry?
