Fantastic numbers for a 20/21 year old in NCAA... 30+ assists would turn him into a top prospect optically

A little update on Fabian Zetterlund he has played mostly in SHL in a very limited role getting only 7 minutes in average a game so no points to show for he's first 13 games.

But in he's 14 th game he got 14 min and produced one assist. Another note is that he's team is leading the SHL so that is a thing to take in.
A little question, isn't Zetterlund one of the youngest players in he's draft class or what?
yup, august 25th.

Which I always like. Current Devils who were young for draft year: Sev's, Bratt, Wood. Blender and Chainey being others.

For anyone watching Joey Anderson, how has he looked, cause it seems like his point totals have dropped a bit so far this year

Nikita Popugaev has signed with CSKA Moscow. Three-way deal for 2 years.

I'm going to assume that means he can move back and forth between the KHL, MHL, and VHL.

One of those leagues is the development league (I believe MHL) and the other one is more of the second-tier pro league (I believe VHL).

Thanks, are Russian seasons the same as North America, i.e. October to April/May? Just wondering when his Russian contract will be up.

Their season typically starts in mid-September and ends before the World Championships in May.

His contract is expiring the same year Rykov's is expiring with SKA. Maltsev's ends at the end of this season, so his situation is something to keep an eye on.

Chainey continues to put up a strong stat line. 2-11-13 a +13 in 19 games. Best #'s amongst d-men, and Halifax does have McIsaac back there.

Pretty interesting how few players we currently have in Canadian juniors. Especially with how many players we have drafted in recent years. 3 guys I think, Chainey, Stud and Cormier. Out of 20.

Welp a couple guys in there +2 are with the B-Devils in Gignac and Bastian. A bunch are in college, and a few in Europe, and of coarse Bratt and Nico are in NJ.

Boqvist, this years 36th pick is a guy they would obviously be high on. Is currently hurt but still in Sweden this year.

Walsh who is at Harvard, and Zetterlund who is also in Sweden, are 3rd rounders from this year. So those are guys worth keeping an eye on.

Big Pop just left canada to go back to Russia, which isn't a great sign.

Anderson a 3rd rounder from last year had a big freshman year for Minnesota-Duluth, though the points aren't coming so much this year.

Lot of guys like Rykov, who is a D-man who has a couple more years on his KHL deal. Hopefully we can get him over here when that deal is up.

I'm pretty high on Chainey, a young 7th rnd d-man from 2016 draft. Looking good thus far in Halifax.
