Sindel to Brandon
I didnt know he was going to play in the CHL this year
He will probably lead all rookies in the whl in scoring

Quebec will have a much improved team with Hennessy and Shkotov back for another year and with the additions of Gagne and Radulov plus the fact that Bernier and friends from moncton are all available watch out

I knew Bahensky was comming over but I had a feeling it was Guelph and not Saskatoon.

It's nice to see him over, finally, though. I expected he would've came over last year since he didn't have his senior league spot guaranteed then, but I guess this is the nail in the coffin.

Anyone know which of these players were picked but likely won't come over to play in the CHL?

I highly doubt Meszaros comes over. He's already a regular in the Slovak League.

But regardless there are a lot of very interesting picks in this import draft so far. Whether they all come over or not, but quite a few top end NHL draft picks have been selected. The most I've ever seen and the draft isnt even half over yet.

Thats a boatload of talent.

Any idea if Jakub Sindel will come overseas to play for Brandon next season?

Actually, I don't necessarily agree on Meszaros. He wants to make the Senators ASAP, although I doubt he makes it this fall as he hopes. That being said, the Slovak League is not the greatest developmental league by any stretch. He's already got the offensive game developed, let him play in a more physical league, get used to the North American play, and he'll try and crack the roster in September of 2005.

There was some talk the 67's would try and trade up in this draft and get him.

Personally, I think it's about 70-30 right now that Meszaros does play in the CHL. The reason he slipped is that he'd play at most 1 year in the CHL, whereas others will qualify for 2 if not 3 more years.

Shkotov will not play in the Q as a 20yr old, Roy already said that.

And Bernier will not be traded to Quebec unless Roy wants to offer up one of his American dmen which will not happen.

Can I get some info on Vladimir Kubus from Slovakia? He was ranked 84th among Euro's for the draft and was not picked, did he opt out? Have a tough season?

And if anyone has anything on Egor Zharkov from Russia it'd be appreciated as well. I see he led them in scoring at the U 17's.

Man I hope Igor Zharkov comes over for Cape Breton. He is one of the better russians for next years draft, at 6`3 he is allready a towering figure.

The Blues announced a couple days ago that Shkotov would be 'going pro' next year...

Some very interesting picks so far. I've never seen him before, but from what I hear, Chicoutimi got themselves a good one in Zagrapan.
