I don’t know if it will have much influence on the Team itself, and honestly do not think it should. There is a large group of people on the hockey side who are well compensated for that task.
However, there should be some influence on the business side by those who invest as STH. I hope there are improvements guided by the folks who attend the Games. An example of where this is lacking is Boston. The ownership decided to reduce the size of the seats without consulting with the fans who use them. It resulted in a huge outrage, which the ownership had to address.
Kudos to Mark Chipman for the open letter. It might not result in significant change, but I respect the hell out of the gesture.
