Except it wasn't, believe me.

I pointed out, numerous times before it was announced, that he would be in Belleville.\

Dorion wanted Chabot in the lineup for the playoffs, but it was not allowed due to CHL/NHL agreement.

He then said in the summer, that Chabot was an NHL player right now.

Obviously, things change. Especially with Boucher at the helm, but again, I'm telling you straight up, that Boutilier being hired for Belleville was not made because of Chabot.

Boots is an incredible D coach and will be in the NHL very soon. He is already arguably an elite level D coach, which is why Belleville hired him.

I don't mind that it has taken this time to get that type of progression. There really is no rush here. Let's make sure he is progressing properly, and he seems to be. Can't just hand things over to a rookie. he needs to earn it and understand that he is not guaranteed anything. There is no harm in him learning the ropes.

Team is a complete joke, top to bottom.

EDIT: Not performance based; that makes sense.

Unfortunate but true... really not liking how things are being run...

Do you guys ever actually look at context or do you just go along with fake news and half truths?

Dorion was saying that Chabot would have been sent down to the AHL to play in Belleville like White but they had to have 20 healthy bodies up here and cause Ryan wasn't they kept Chabot. Chabot would have been called back up to continue the NHL season once the bye week was done.

Do guys even look up facts or quotes? Holy so much made up and fake news in here

Dorion said they would have sent Chabot down DURING THE BREAK so he could play in the AHL then come back up to play in the NHL once the bye week was done.
Ready or not at the start of the year may be debatable. Do we all agree he belongs in the NHL now. He is still developing, but the NHL is where he should be. I think its pretty clear. He has been arguably the best player on the ice for the Sens at least a handful of games .. and again tonight. He had a good game and was not joined by too many.

Oduya should be on the bottom pair splitting time with Claesson... If the Sens made promises about the bonuses .. let him get there and start moving on
Yes, thats why he is here as a contant fixture on the blueline

don't know what the huge outcry in this thread is about. Now we are crying about a defensemen progressing well in our system?

Jeez we are still getting slapped by teams with Chabot in the lineup

who would have thunk?
I mean, obviously....look at our team. Makes the decision even more hilariously bad.

I'll let you get back to cloud 9.

FAKE NEWS!!!

You sound like my edgy 14 year old cousin

Big turnover yesterday, resulted in a goal against.

Perhaps "playing him more" is not working out as well as some here thought.

Maybe Classeon should be playing???

He seems okay with the season lost now it makes sense to play him up here but you can tell he has a ways to go to develop. Smart player

Im still not sure about White he might benefit from a lot of games in the AHL

That turnover was something that happens to veterans too. He played a very strong game. To look at only that incident is disingenuous.

Dude what in the actual f*** lmao.

You really think the puck bobbling on him is indicative of hampered development or too many minutes lmfao.

When you've decided you're not challenging anything for the year, you stop caring about wins and loses, and stop thinking that one mistake is going to bench you. You're looking to see how you're players react and learn. You keep playing him because you need the latter, not the former.

So you don't put Classeon in for him. Just let him play, live with the mistakes and see him learn.

So what about Classeon? Shouldn't he be given an opportunity to make mistakes, and learn?

How about letting them both play, and one of them in Belleville, unless needed in Ottawa?

You're comparing apples and oranges though. Claesson has over 100 games in the NHL now. Yes, he should be allowed to make mistakes and learn, but the problem with him is that he seems to have regressed. He doesn't deserve to play every night right now.

Chabot, on the other hand, is getting better and better, and is a rookie.

Absolutely they should and both should both be in Ottawa. And if a choice needs to be made, it's Chabot over Classeon.
