Congrats to the teams eliminated this week. You had strong seasons and in most cases had a great playoff week but faced a tough match-up.

Best of luck to those teams that have lasted into the semi-finals. :handclap:

Round 2 is set to start, we have:

(1) Halifax Blue Jays vs (6) Stinky Pujols
(2) Wu-Tang Clan vs (4) Hammel Toes

Good luck fellas.

The consolation games do not make a difference and I am making a note of rosters as of when they are eliminated. So adding/dropping guys after elimination won't have any benefit.

Also, I have done the lottery picks. They will be as follows:

Prospect Draft:
1. Techno Funyuns
2. The Horrors
3. Wheeling Dingers
4. Joey's BatFlip

Main Draft:
1. Wheeling Dingers
2. The Horrors
3. Joey's Batflip
4. Techno Funyuns

The remainder of the picks will be decided by a combination of the playoffs and final regular season standings.

Proposed Roster Changes:

Item #1
- Split CI & MI categories into 1B, 2B, 3B and SS
The logic behind this is it will provide more balance. as it will be more difficult to overload on a single position. Plus it is simply more like real baseball, we would be using all positions as the game does.

Item #2
- Change Pitchers slots from 3 SP and 3 RP to 2 SP, 4 RP and 2 P (both SP and RP can be placed here)
The logic behind this is it would make relievers more valuable by adding 2 pitching slots. This in conjunction with the proposal of adding whip and holds will make elite relievers as valuable as closers.

Item #3
- Add 3rd IR slot
The logic here is pretty straight forward. Adding 2 more active roster slots will already reduce our bench enough that it will be harder to stash injured players without it hurting us.

Proposed Scoring Category Changes:

Item #4
- Replace BB & K with K/BB ratio and add WHIP (Walks & Hits per Inning Pitched)
The logic behind this is that using the Strikeout to walk ratio evens things out those categories because IP can range from 21-50+ innings and we all know if you have alot of IP your BB will inflate but you become more likely to win Ks. Adding WHIP will make pitchers that give up a few more runs but don't give up many base-runners some value, it will also add value to relievers that do not get saves.

Item #5
- Replace Win% with Holds
The logic here is two-fold. It makes good starting pitchers on ****** teams more valuable because a pitcher can have great numbers and no run support (or ****** numbers and great run support), which makes Win% more of a wildcard. Adding Holds is to add value to relievers that is not closers.

Item #6
- Replace AVG and Total Bases with OBP (On base percentage) and OPS (On base plus slugging)
The logic behind this is currently walks don't mean **** and they should. This would factor walks into both categories without adding Walks as its own category. This should also help increase SB because alot of the top base-stealers also walk a decent amount. It will also make it so HR threats with low averages but walk alot have a bit more value.

Item #7
- Replace Errors with Fielding Percentage
The logic behind this is certain positions are more prone to errors because they handle the ball more. This would make an error (which are fairly rare) more impactful than an error by an infielder which happen more often as an infielder will handle the ball significantly more often.

I will be emailing everyone and collecting their votes.

Look who's back!

1) Please don't spam this thread. This is for our CFHF fantasy baseball league discussion and a place to post our trades and other league business.
2) I never left, I just stopped posting in the majority of topics because I am tired of the way things are on this board. My posting will be centralized in our fantasy league threads (hockey and baseball) as a result.

Hey All,

Just a heads up that trading up opens this Monday.

I have some guys on the trade block, my keepers are not set yet so I’d be willing to listen to offers on the following players:

Bell (1B)
Cabrera (1B)
Story (SS)
Castellanos (3B/OF)
Buxton (OF)
Braun (OF)
Keuchel (SP)
Darvish (SP)
Miller (RP)
Herrera (RP)

I’d probably be looking at draft picks in the 1st, 5 rounds or guys with prospect eligibility for next season. But I’m also open to a baseball deal.

Really my only hole is an elite 2B or maybe even a short stop. Some guys mentioned I plan on keeping so I value them more. If you think you see something that makes sense, message me on Discord.

I will be updating prospect lists (game totals) this weekend most likely and work on the prospect and main draft spreadsheets. The main draft spreadsheet will include all of our new statistics as well as their positions. But I caution you, the positions will be from Fantrax (as I can set up a league with the same rules as us and download the stats), so I encourage you to check Baseball Reference to see how much of each position they actually play.

Prospect games played are updated, ended up having time at work tonight. I removed anyone over the limit and added a games remaining column
