I am patiently (well, somewhat) waiting as well. I'm thinking the list is compiled already as the Vancouver Sun reported at the beginning of the week that Gilbert Brule is the third ranked player for the 2005 draft (according to Central Scouting). Perhaps some post-WJC revisions

Is this the 1st round for NA skaters or have you just thrown everyone together from each of the league rankings?

I like McArdle at #8, maybe a bit too high, but Bourdon over Jack Johnson seems a bit strange with all the hype surrounding Johnson.

Brule at #6 doesn't make sense, Durand at #15 seems a little low, as does Bourret at #19 and O'Marra has been a Top 10 pick by Redline and ISS to date, but is #17 by CSS.

....and where is Latendresse? He doesn't even make the 1st round? By these rankings he would be a mid to late 2nd rounder once you factor in all the Euro draft picks.

It is always different from what other people say. So are NHL team lists. Now people will criticize it because it doesn't match what Redline or McKeen's says (which is where most people here build their rankings from). People will criticize it now, but when it becomes more established in their minds, or time passes and people accept it as a kind of standard, many people here will adjust their own lists closer to CSS's.

This is called the "Anikeenko" phenomenom (i.e., Nov.: "Anikeenko at #35? McKeen's is nuts!". Jan.: "I have Anikeenko at #35").
