It's not an excuse for this season just a general understanding of the team. He's not the captain of the team, being the star of the team doesn't automatically mean you're the most suitable captain for that team. It should go to the guy with the "highest hockey IQ," as everyone around here has been throwing out lately. It wouldn't do much of anything to affect our hockey but it should go to the rightful owner, Laich. If you go back and watch the video of the players where they were asked who would make the best coach on the team, almost all of them said Laich or Knubs.
