So good news is none of our RFAs should be all that problematic with having Faulk out of the way already. Could very easily have our forward count up to 10, and our defense count up to 7, via re-signing RFAs plus Bellemore and Hainsey, and still have over 10 million to spend finishing up the roster in free agency.

If I had to project things right now:
Jiri Tlusty - 2 years, 2mil per
Andrei Loktionov - 1 year, QO (~760K)
Nathan Gerbe - 1 year, 750K
Brett Bellemore - 1 year, 750K
Ron Hainsey - 3 years, 2.75mil per

That leaves 11.5 million in cap space with the only obvious holes being some size on the 3rd and 4th lines, and maybe a need for a #4 dman.

Among the sensible targets up front would be:
Devin Setoguchi
Daniel Winnik
Derek MacKenzie
Marcel Goc
Steve Ott (though he'll be on the high end of the range)

And on the blueline:
Derek Morris
Mark Fayne
Henrik Tallinder
Nikita Nikitin

If they pick up a #4 dman along with re-signing Hainsey, who plays the bottom pairing? I would personally want Liles-Bellemore there but I don't think they'd keep Harrison scratched, unfortunately.

Also will be interesting to see how Murphy plays and where he might be able to slot in. If he seems ready they may not need to sign a top 4.

I'd go with Goc at 3C and Fayne as a top 4 defenseman, as Metro Misfits said above, and then go for MacKenzie for the 4th line.

Figure out some way to dump Liles, if possible. Not that he's a terrible player or anything, but I would prefer to not have that contract.

Skinner-Eric-Lindholm
Tlusty-Jordan-Semin
Gerbe-Goc-Loktionov
MacKenzie-Nash-Dwyer

Sekera-Faulk
Hainsey-Fayne
Harrison-Murphy
Bellemore

Khudobin
Ward

Of course, that lineup doesn't feature Malhotra, who I'd love to have back. Also, one of Gerbe/Loktionov would be stuck at RW, unless we were to actually play Eric at LW. In that case, maybe something along the lines of this? I'm not saying Loktionov is a first line center, but I'm not sure how else to organize the lines in that case.

Eric-Loktionov-Semin
Skinner-Jordan-Lindholm
Gerbe-Goc-Tlusty
MacKenzie-Nash-Dwyer

EDIT: I also think Loktionov gets more than just his QO, and that Hainsey commands more than 2.75M.
