Middle six LW if all goes right, assuming he signs. How does Shane Gersich project?
Ross Mahoney comments on Samsonov, still a year away from the NHL. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/washington-capitals
Still a year away from North America. The distinction implies he could spend time in the AHL even after he hops the Atlantic.
Siegenthaler's an interesting case - he played in Europe last year for family reasons, so it's hard to say what level his play is at. The club loves him, though, and I'd not be surprised if he got some games this season.

Jonsson Fjallby at 3LW for Sweden vs. USA on NHLN/TSN momentarily.
I doubt it. He doesn't have all that many forwards to pass for now but he's more likely an AHL injury call-up at best. He didn't exactly light it up in the ECHL last year so he needs to stay healthy and dominate there first.so any chance that tim mcgualey plays in hershey this year? two years removed from that 42 goal/63 assist season in whl and was injured most of last year
any real chance for him?
Assistant coaches Mike Souza and Glenn Stewart recruited three new defensemen, including NHL Draft picks Max Gildon and Benton Maass, both of whom played key roles in the weekend sweep. Gildon and Maass help UNH improve its size and mobility on the blue line.
“They played very well. We put them out in key situations and they handled it extremely well,” said Umile....
Maass had an assist each night. The sixth round selection of the Washington Capitals is somewhat of a late bloomer, playing high school hockey until the end of last season when he joined Fairbanks in the NAHL. Maass showed off his mobility and ability to jump into the offense when he carried the puck in back of the attacking goal and sending a pass out to Liam Blackburn for the team’s first goal Saturday.
“Those two definitely don’t feel like freshmen. They’ve come in here and shown that they’re mature beyond their years,” Wyse complimented.
His five assists in four games leads NCAA freshmen defensemen. As is the case with most good players, Maass tries to watch film of himself and study NHL defensemen to better his own game. One player he keeps close tabs on is Los Angeles Kings captain Drew Doughty.
“I like watching Drew Doughty highlights. I try to model my game after him. He’s a steady two-way guy. He’s in the right place at the right time. He makes the easy plays as well as being able to jump into the rush, but he’s always solid defensively,” Maass said.
He hasn’t cracked the Hershey lineup yet. Won’t be surprised if he’s sent to SC soon just to get playing timeAny update on Bindulis? Is he dead lol?

Anyway, the Bears currently are not a good team. That’s not saying it’s a lost season, but they need to grow up quick for them to have any shot this year. A lot of that has to do with a very inexperienced blue line, both Vitek and Copley being out, and a ton of new faces. I won’t be surprised if this is a year when Hershey/Washington make some minor league moves to help bolster the team.

The defense has been atrocious. That’s expected though with 3-4 rookies playing a night. The most experienced player back there is Labrie. The D is definitely missing Ness for his leadership and his puck moving skills. The team also needs to stop taking penalties.
It could be a long year
Hey guys. First time posting in a looonnnng time. It’s been a super busy summer for me and it’s actually been refreshing being away and stepping back from following the Caps/Bears as much as I have in the past.
