Canucks have two defenders out for a while (Edler and Stecher for 4-6 weeks), Lightning have announced that Sergachev is staying which has them at 8 D so it would make some sense.
1. Assemble team of really high draft picks
2. ???
3. Profit

Benning has a weird obsession with players drafted from 2010-20121. Assemble team of really high draft picks

Has this guy even been right on anything?
Seems like there's a new thread with his tweets every week. Is he just hoping something sticks or is he really clued in?
Every year with the Canucks, either one of Edler or Tanev go down with an injury. But with Stecher out now,it would make sense that Jimbo is out looking..
Didn't know Hedman and Sergachev are bad.don't tampa need defenseman? their d-core is good, not great
..........and the opinion from some is that them going down does not affect their values collectively or individually..................
they're not bad, but doesn't tampa need another defenseman?Didn't know Hedman and Sergachev are bad.
He is reliable, but since he reports when the Canucks have interest/inquired about a player a lot, rather than just impending deals, then it looks like he has a lot of misses.Has this guy even been right on anything?

I guess anything is possible when an average D-man like Adam Larsson can get you a top line winger.
average D-man? that is funny. Did I hit a sore spot? Guess I did. Edler is injury prone--It has been 6 season since he played a full season and Tanev has only played 70+ games once as a pro in 7 years. Larsson has playd 79 and 82 the last 2 seasons--for me that is pretty good--as opposed to injuries
I could be way off as well but all seemed to be quite hyped past high draft picks with their own question marks1. Assemble team of really high draft picks

So he plays average for 79 games.
Thanks for proving my point.
(79+82)/2 = 79?
does that mean Tanev averages 53 games a year and Edler 52 games a year
if I use your math?
Also--calling Larsson average means you are calling both Edler and tanev sub par
