Can the agent who represents you raise your stock with scouts?

I'd say yes, but less in hockey compared to the other sports such as football and baseball.

So what advise would you give. Go with a small agency who promises the personal touch, you especially like the rep., or go with the biggest whose rep is also okay but maybe a step behind the small agency's guy. Does it really matter who you have representing you. Would Crosby be Crosby and all his endorsements, Jay Leno appearance etc. be the same if his agent was small potatoes.

well if you are as good as Crosby, the agents usually come to you. If you aren't a big time player, I would go with the smaller agent firm who will pay more attention to you.

Having a bad or disreputable agent CAN, HAS and WILL cause certain players not be drafted by certain teams. It's a fact.

So if you're a young hockey player looking to crack the big-leagues, stay away from Robert Frost.

In fact, stay away from Frost in general.
