Currently leading his team in scoring and just hit a career high in assists last night with 11 in 13 games. He's one of 4 '96 born players on the team so despite being a 2nd year player he's still one of the youngest. Still needs to fill out his frame and get stronger but plays a smart game and is showing a much improved offensive game.

Evans continues his breakout season, just tied last year's point totals in just under half the number of games. He leads a surprising Notre Dame in assists and tied for 2nd in points. Notre Dame really took it to Western Michigan last night, Evans had 2 pts in the blowout win.

Glad he's okay. I was watching last night and he got blindsided pretty hard late in the third

5 pt weekend for Evans, now up to a ppg on the year and has more assists then he had points last year. Leads Notre Dame in assists, 2nd on the team in points.

A 4 point weekend for Evans, he's having a breakout season at Notre Dame as he leads the team in assists and points. Not bad for the Sophomore as he's over a ppg. Notre Dame is a fun team to watch, they could do some damage in the playoffs as they have 3 lines rolling and one of the better goalies in the NCAA.

Habs have to sign prospect Jake Evans this year
He's the leading NCAA scorer right now with 15 pts in 8 games

Evans is off to a great start so far this year, even more impressive is that he's doing it with a young team after their lost their 2 best players from last season to the NHL. Going to be interesting to see how his game translates to the AHL next year.

19 points in 12 games, pretty impressive start for Evans.

So another strong weekend(1+2) for Evans. Evans has 22 points and then next Notre Dame player has 13 points. It's pretty impressive. Many expected that when Bjork leaves Evans production drops, but he's driving that Notre Dame offence.

I expected things would be much tougher for him as the go to guy with Bjork gone and Notre Dame having such a young team (one of the youngest in the NCAA) but they are scoring goals in bunches for the most part and he's been leading the way setting up plays. I'm very interested to see how he does in the AHL next year.
