22 points in 9 games in WHL is prettttty good.

It would be incredible if he could hold onto anywhere near that pace by the end of the season.

Eliteprospects gives him at the moment even 6+20=26 points in only 10 games. So I guess he has had another 4 point game. The dude is really on fire! It would truly be amazing if he could hold on to this kind of pace for the rest of the season.

Oh, I guess it wasn't updated by the time I made my comment. In any case, that's pretty crazy.

he must have put on weight. I saw him play in Calgary and he was pretty slim
The kid was 140 pounds at draft. He's not gonna gain 40 pounds over one summer. So obviously he'd still be slim

E: I'm sorry, i misread your comment. I thought you said "he must put on weight" :P

When you score at 3 PPG it's probably time to go to a more difficult league. Perhaps he should go to play in Europe? AHL would be correct but of course...

Has anyone ever jumped from CHL to Europe or AHL midseason? I doubt he's going anywhere until his team's season is over.

A junior league is a right place for him if he weighs under 160lbs. He can't go to the AHL anyways because the rules as far as I'm concerned.

I mean i could find like 100 guys like these two (Different leagues, very different skill levels, duh, but the point is that ur wrong about the weight stuff).
Yeah obviously he could play in a professional league, but I don't think it would be beneficial for him at this point. Why rush him? So he can learn to play "complete game" against grinders rather than to dominate offensively in the minors? Gaudreau in a sense is a poor example, he spent 3 years in the NCAA after getting drafted.

Meh, i don't think changing in the middle of the season is correct either. Liiga or AHL next season would be cool. Preferably Liiga so i can watch him 8)

Scored 2 points ( 1+1) last night's WHL regular season game vs Saskatoon Blades.
In 12 games this season Heponiemi is scored 32 points ( 9+23) and his PPG is 2,66

Goal and assist tonight vs Tigers. Those points put him 1 point shy from 1st place.
10 goals,24 assists,34 points in 13 games.

However, those 34 points has come from 11 games,in 2 games this season Hepo has gone goose eggs,
where as his linemate Steenbergen, haves points in all 13 games.
