Speculation: Buyouts in the 2020 offseason

I know you guys love to pile on to abdelkader and especially his contract but buying him out doesn’t really help us out at all.

His contract is terrible, but buying him out is also a bad idea. We're still paying for Stephen Weiss.

I think Abby will have a chance early on to turn it on and keep it going, or he'll get waived. He was 6-13-19 in 71 games last year with a -14. A really poor showing for someone earning $4.25m/yr.
