The Boston Bruins defeated the Phoenix Coyotes 3-2 in their Beantown home-opener. GM Krueger was ecstatic about the teams performance:"We really gave it to them. The boys played a solid game. I was particularely impressed with Jay McKee stepping up his game, spearheading two scoring plays with some fine passing. He got two assists - thats amazing!" The sold-out crowd took the celebration to the streets after the game, raising their fists in good cheer, chanting 'We Rock! We Rock!' repeatedly. Bells were heard throughout the Beantown core, and the bars stayed open an extra hour to accomodate the enthusiastic fans.

The Bruins play host to the Panthers this evening.

To which, I suppose, the defeated Coyotes fans were heard to respond: "We scissors!"...
