He’s a rookie on a 4 year deal which he can sign an extension soon after year 3. He would still play year 3 without a new deal. QBs like Jimmy G with all of less than 10 nfl starts for $27 mill average and over $70 mill guaranteed like 5 years ago.

Ultimately it would depend on how he performs coming off this injury.

It feels strange to read about an UCL injury away from the Baseball subsection. At least Purdy had a really good stint and does not depend on preseason games anymore.
