1)How long has Thompson been there? Who has he actually developed that turned out at a minimum to be a solid NHLer?

2)They are such garbage offensively how does this team expect to develop guys like JHS and Dal Colle? Realistically they are going to such because the support there for any type of offensive player is almost none.

This has been going on for years. I don’t know if it’s the islander or the soundtigers being unwilling to sign a couple of veteran AHLers to help the kids.

It’s almost like the islanders are breeding a losing culture even in the minors.

The Isles haven't been willing to pay AHL vets in order to help the Sound Tigers. This is very shortsighted as the young players don't develop properly in that environment. This is something that L&M need to fix starting next season.

4 wins in a row. McAdam putting up very good numbers since his call up.

And now they've taken their 5th straight with a 3-2 victory last night.

Gudlevskis was in goal.

Among Islander draftees, Burroughs had one assist and Wotherspoon went 1-1-2. Burroughs also ended the night at +2.

The addition of veteran Andre Benoit (was quite good for the Aves in 2013-14) seems to have been quite the infusion in the team. He has 5 assists and a +1 in 8 games, most of those points over the last 4 games.

I think what the poster is trying to say was that Ho-Sang played so well that he played ‘sick,’ as in ‘that was a sick play.’

I’m not surprised, he can skate and dangle w the best of them.

Bridgeport was down 4-0 in their game Sunday and came back to win 5-4 in regulation.

Of our drafted players, Ho-Sang had 2 assists, Wotherspoon one goal (7) and Dal Colle had an assist.

Otherwise, both Bailey and Bourque had a goal and an assist.

I think that's the 2nd time this season they came back from trailing 4-0, but the first time they won the game.

Nice to see the Sound Tigers come back from 4-0 down to win again. 3rd time this season and 2nd time they won.

Travis St. Denis, 3 goals 5 pts - maybe the next big find for the Isles? Dal Colle and Ho-Sang continue to produce zero in the AHL, help is on the way.

Manhasset's Ryan Hitchcock playing on an ATO picked up 3 assists last night. Could be a good depth guy for Bridgeport next year, would be better than the likes of Gaudreau, Kubiak, Schempp and so on. He had a decent career at Yale and has played for us in the prospect camp.

He's 5'7 160 lbs and decent for an AHLer. He'd look much worse than Fritz does on the Isles.

Yep, the team came back from 4-0 to win 6-4.

That must have been a great game to watch.

Of our prospects, Burroughs and Wotherspoon each had an assist on the first goal and, well, that was that.

This organization has a love/hate relationship with RHD from the WHL.

Honestly, what's the harm in giving Burroughs a look? He seems to be having a solid and steady season, but is not even on the radar?

Maybe they would get better performance from Bridgeport year in and year out if they made the prospects there feel getting a taste of the NHL was attainable with performance. The only prospects who get consideration for call ups are historically the first and second round picks.
