Without Gunnar and Bo things can very quickly be ugly. Petro, Colton, Edmund, Dunn, Bort, Schmaltz is av very fragile d-rooster. The rookies are doing well but in the long run we need the veterans. Next year might be another thing.

Are you implying Gunnarsson and Bouwmeester play with edge/grit/toughness?

Cause if the other guys on our defense make for a "fragile" defensive core, Gunnarsson and Bouwmeester aren't making it any less fragile. Even then, I disagree with the sentiment itself. Dunn has some edge in his game, Parayko is physically dominant, he just isn't dirty, Edmundson and Bortuzzo are built upon physical styles, and lastly Petro isn't very physical but he's so smart and skilled, he doesn't need that element.

At this point, Edmundson and Parayko aren't rookies. Bortuzzo is far from it as well. Schmaltz being 24, he isn't so young himself. The only truly young player is Dunn.
