Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be as many clever nicknames in the game today as there once was. Can you remember some of the best ones you have heard? Here's a few of my all-time favourites:

    Larry "King" Kwong
    Tim "Muddy" Watters
    Mark "Trees" LaForest
    Bernie "Pumper" Nicholls
    Merlin "The Magician" Malinowski
    Camille "The Eel" Henry
    Clarence "Happy" Day
    Frank "Ulcers" McCool
    Dave "Cementhead" Semenko

"Terrible" Ted Lindsay. One of my all time favorite nicknames. Fits his personality perfectly.

Maurice "Rocket" Richard. That one just sounds so great and also fits him perfectly. Funny how these two players hated each other when they played.
