Probably a hint of kayfabe/box office in my thinking. Could easily go differently. I think the top 5 wrestlers listed are those I'd 100% have in the tourney, the last 3 I had to think on, and could swap out for a few other names. I considered adding Rock and Cena - but they're more actors now so I left them off.

I'm not including Reigns as I don't feel that he is top 8 in ring. I'm basing my brackets off of the top 8 guys I would want to watch in a tournament like this, not top 8 best booked. I'm also leaving WALTER out, but only because I have only watched a handful of his matches. By reputation, I admit he should be there, but I just he can't put him in when I've only watched 3 (I think) of his matches.

I'd go by promotion. Since wrestlers do multiple promotions some heels would fight to be in 'easier' promotions, the backlash, upsets, the mini tournaments with in promotions.
