Its interesting to hear if anyone knows...
and now I am talking about the pick being traded, not the player.

MA Fleury, I believe they Pens traded up with the Panthers to pick him...

Milbury traded the players after they were drafted, he did a great job drafting though
Except in the case of Spezza, where he trade the 2nd overall pick. Though, it more or less amounted to the same thing as Spezza was a definite consensus to be taken with that pick.

LeCavalier is another traded pick.
That pick was actually traded twice. It was traded (along with Dave Lowry) to SJ for Viktor Kozlov and a 5th rounder and then it was traded to TB though I can't recall what TB traded to get that pick.

In 1990, Calgary traded the 1st-round pick that was eventually used by New Jersey to select Martin Brodeur.

In the same draft, Calgary then took Trevor Kidd.

Does anyone else see why the Kings should have won this years lottery? :banghead: Weren't we due some luck?

I don't know of any other team that consistantly traded it's first round picks(that became great players) for a bunch of short term, gap filling, wastes of space as the Kings did in their first 20 years of existance.

LoL, try being a NYR fan ;)

Nah, the Grahme - first rounder (Ray Bourque) has to be the winner. Imagine if Bourque played with the Kings? They could have won the cup in '93, having both Grezky and Bourque.

Tampa Bay and Pitkanan though they did get Fedetenko to help them win the Cup...but still...OUCH!

Would it still be ouch if the flyers never win the cup with Pitkanen on the team? Feds was integral for Tampa in the cup run.
