Would Bernie Parent ever have been considered for goaltending coach or goaltender development, scout, etc. if not for his career-ending eye injury? Seems like he would have a lot to teach about positioning and angles. I always thought he won some games by himself and was a team leader.

Has he done anything for the Flyers other than public appearances since his playing days? I see he is going to ring the bell for the NYSE on Thursday(Oct. 6).

What is his relationship with Clarke since they played?

Is Philadelphia Inquirer writer, Rob Parent his son?

    TIA

Bernie Parent was the Flyers goaltending coach for a long period of time.

Rob Parent is a clown, and not related at all to Bernie.

Thanks JFF, I didn't see his coaching credentials in any of the bios I pulled up. Loved that he didn't start skating until he was 12, when he grew into his older brothers' skates. Great story. Amazing he could still play after the disc removal.
