Speculation: Bergevin shut down by owner.

I'm sorry. IF this is indeed true--that Bergevin is on a tether--then he should have been fired like yesterday. What's the point of having a "lame duck" GM when this team is hitting critical mass? And what is the point of Molson giving MB a very public vote of confidence?

Title of the article is inaccurate. I listened to the segment and BGL said MB doesn't have approval from Molson to trade Max. Not that he tried and it was so bad it got nixed. Just to clear things up.

But coming from 91.9/BGL, none of this is likely true.

This doesn’t make sense. They wait until under a week before the TDL to do this? Did Bergevin present Molson with a trade that even he thought was flat out crazy?

No wheres in that article does it say M.B. was nixed because he tried to move Patches in a bad deal.
