Ho ho.. they play Laval first?!

I might try to go to one game since I live there.

Especially of Chabot and/or White are with Belleville.

I wonder if its going to be odd going to Bingo as the visiting team. Im also curious to see the reception the Bingo fans give the team

I don't want to see White on the first line in Bellevegas - I'd rather see him on the third line here. I think that the kid is NHL ready. He'll get plenty of ice time in pre-season games to help prove or disprove that contention.

Anyway, that first series against Laval would be fun to see. That new rink in Laval is less than two hours from Ottawa, although their opening weekend might be a hot ticket...

I think White will get a shot as Brass's injury replacement to start but will spend most of his time with the BSens.

I do not see them playing that projected top line Perron, White , Dido together however. That is a a pretty small line.

How does this lineup compare to the lineup Bingo had last year? I think it has some better prospects in the mix but I am not sure it is any stronger up front. The D looks better.

I think/hope Harpur will be up with the big club and Wideman gets moved.

Yeah, I just copied those lines from silversevensens, and they noted that it would look different once the big team called up some guys for injuries and such.

I think White might get a chance if Brass isn't ready to go; he had surgery end of May, and was listed out 4-5 months, which if he's back after 4 means he might see a pre-season game, and if he's out the full 5 means he misses a dozen reg season games.

I think White will probably get some games, then head back to Belleville for some big mins down there unless he really makes it impossible to send him down.

Agreed about Harpur, I liked him quite a bit in his call-up. Belleville will miss him though.

That line up is missing Rodewald. The bottom 6 seems full of unknowns and could use some veteran signings. It would be good for the Belle Sens to have a good first season.

The bottom 6 is full of veterans (besides Gagne).

McCormick - 25 y.o, 4th year in AHL, 27 career NHL games
Reinhart - 25 y.o, 6th year pro, 23 career NHL games
Sexton - 26 y.o, 5th year pro
Randell - 26 y.o, 6th year pro, 27 career NHL games
Flanagan - 28 y.o, 7th year pro

The top 6 is a lot less tested than the bottom 6.

Good call on Rodewald though. There's also Jordan Murray to account for although there's a chance he mostly plays ECHL minutes.

Agreed fully. I just can't imagine that it is beneficial to have our prospects playing on a team that is getting hammered every night. The last two years have been complete tire fire in Bingo and that needs to change...

any preseason games in Belleville?
I don't recall seeing a preseason schedule yet, but they won't be playing any of the preseason games at the Yardmen Arena in Belleville. It's currently under extensive renovation and it set to be completed right before the home opener on November 1.

It wouldn't surprise me if one of the game are held near Belleville, and maybe in Ottawa.

Akeson was one of their better players ... he was on a minor contract only. I'd like to see him back. He can generate offense.

I don't think this Bellville team will be very good & maybe worse than last yr unfortunately. We do have better prospects on the team this yr but they are rookies. IMO since they re-signed Sieloff, I would think he would play over any rookies like Lajoie for example. This is the lineup I think will start the season in Bellville & it's quite possible that Lajoie, Hogberg & Chlapik find themselves in the ECHL. I still think that Hammond is waived & bought out or loaned out to some other team.

Perron - Paul - Domenico
McCormick - White - Rodewald
Dunn - Reinhart - Blunden
Flanagan - Sexton - Randal/Chlapik

Chabot - Harpur - I assume Harpur will play on his off side again this yr
Englund - Jaros - not sure if Jaros makes the top 4 in his rookie yr
Sieloff - Bergdoerfer - don't know Bergoerfer but Sieloff should beat out Donaghey
Donaghey - Erkamps

Taylor - Dreidger - Taylor has the ability to steal games for Bellville

What's the general thought of Chabot's future? AHL or NHL next season?

Seeing him in the Memorial Cup, his skill certainly showed although I wondered if the Sens might give him a cup of coffee at the start of the season in the NHL and then send him down to the AHL to work on his defensive game. Just seemed to me that he took some extra risks that most players wouldn't get away with in the NHL. Meanwhile I've only seen him in 4 games. Thoughts?

Really? Highly doubt he plays ahead of Chlapik, or even Gagne (or even anyone else who's on the 4th line there)

I agree about the defense, IF Chabot gets sent down, which I'm not sure of

Aragorn: Jaros is not a typical AHL rookie, he's already got pro experience in the Top 4 with his SHL team, and is 21 years old going into the season. He's further ahead than where Englund was when he came over. Jaros is here because he feels he has a chance to make the NHL, I have my doubts he'd be on the 3rd pair in the AHL, at least not for very long.

Chabot and Harpur are not both starting in the AHL, somebody will be up with the big team as a 7th Dman (or pushing one of Wideman/Boro to be the 7th). Three guys will compete for that 7th roster spot (Chabot, Harpur and Jaros) and my guess is Chabot has the inside track, having been recognized as our 7th best dman before lighting it up in the CHL and at the WJC last year.

Chlapik will play in Belleville unless he really struggles which I do not expect imo. He's one of our better prospects; he'll get opportunities.

Jaros is close to NHL ready imo... if he isn't already. He'll be top 4 , maybe top 2 in Belleville
I think Harpur is NHL ready now but has a 2 way and could be sent down because of not clearing space.
Dorion has been talkin' up Chabot quite a bit... He went as far as saying if Werenski can play in the NHL, so can Chabot (paraphrase) the kid had one hell of a year...

I imagine Wideman being moved sooner or later ... I would do it sooner, but IMO between , Chabot , Harpur and Jaros he is very replaceable.
