A quick look at the 14 BCHL players ranked by the Central Scouting Service this year.

Do you have to say "deal with it" in all of your post? Or is this part of the new you?

The title gives the impression it's for a 'BCHL Draft'. Might want to edit it so that it indicates that it's the players eligible for the 'o4 NHL draft from the BCHL, in some way. Just a thought.

Jay, Do you really think that four players could get picked before 79th? Anyone else is free to answer this as well.

I see Zajac going late 1st/early 2nd, Chucko going mid 2nd, and Sawada anywhere in the 3rd. Jordan Foote will be harder pressed to make it before the 5th.

The first round of the NHL Entry Draft has been a tough nut to crack for the British Columbia Hockey League. In the last decade, only four graduates of the BCHL (Mike Brown, Scott Gomez, Steve McCarthy, and Shaone Morrisonn) have been selected in the first round.

I think he's referring to players who were drafted directly out of the BCHL. Kobasew and Tamebellini played in the NCAA when they were drafted, so their performance (and the competition level) in the BCHL was not really relevant. Heatley is another player who played in the BCHL from what I recall, but like Kobasew and Tambellini, had a year of Division I hockey under his belt when drafted.

Actually Heatley played for in the AJHL for the Calgary Canucks.
