It's amazing how good he became this quickly. NO ONE could have guessed this. He's a guy you build a franchise around.

And, like I've said for years, you need two 1Cs in the NHL to be competitive. Barzal is as much a 1C as anyone in this league with the way he's playing.

Isles have not had this fortune of landing such a star player in the draft in a long long time, Barzal in his rookie year is better than JT in his rookie year, however JT is the better player and that should not even be argued.
