Phaneuf gave him the elbow that sent him to the dressing room. It was a good shot but for most players it would not be a concussion. He skated off the ice under his own power and was probably seeing stars. Not wobbly at all, so maybe he'll be alright for Tues game. They will keep him out tomorrow in all likelihood.

Mac will likely continue to C the first line, so those who wanted Jagr moved down from the first will get their wish. McCann should C the 4th and hopefully one of McKegg or Rau will be feeling well enough to go. A little intravenous should do the trick. :)

Not sure if it's a good thing or bad that we haven't heard anything yet
Could be that they'll wait until tomorrow to see if there's any symptoms, Barkov might even skip tomorrow's game to be on the safe side even if he is looking fine.

Teams have started to pay more attention in the last year or so, that concussions aren't predictable like normal injuries. Look no further than Gudbranson last year, who played many games with symptoms (caused by banging heads with Hall on that monster hit) until he got taken out of the line-up.

Barkov has told finnish media it's nothing serious and he's just fine. He said the even if everything is OK they dont let you back in the game just in case. New NHL protocol with the NHL observers at the game pulled him off because they suspected there was a possibility of a injury

So basically he admitted it was a concussion scare

GR retweeted this. Hopefully it's legit.
It is, Hoffren is well connected with Finnish NHLers. He's the one that broke news that how long JJ is going to be out too (when he had those knee problems about a month ago).
